I've been looking at a lot of real estate listings lately (details on that later), and I've been amazed at the number of rooms I've seen with beds placed on an angle.

There are some rooms where an angle works, but I will do just about anything to avoid it--it throws off my balance and I just want to straighten it!

I agree. I have a hard time with beds at an angle. I feel like it takes up too much space and I crave symmetry but that second room looks really lovely nevertheless!
I'm with you on that one!
I am completely with you--I don't think I could sleep at an angle to my room, either. That said, the first one here almost has me convinced--something about those wall sconces makes it feel so deliberate, and I usually say that if it looks deliberate (not like a big oops), it works.

I think it's my OCD that makes me want to jump into the photos and straighten those suckers out! Of course in a tiny room, it's actually nice to see the bed in all it's goodness. So while I get it, it makes me so uneasy! :)
My sister put her bed on an angle at one point when we were little. It pretty much drives me crazy too!
Crazy. I never would have thought of that - it looks nice though!! Kinda makes me want to rearrange my room - but then I remember that's a lot of work that I'd rather not do :)

I kind of want to try this in my guest room, but I'm afraid it will be awkward! I've seen it done so well like in these rooms so many times and love it though! I adore the lamps in the first picture too! I've been dying to add some to my house!
I have never thought of angling my bed, but now that you have mentioned it, I'd like to try it. Do you have any suggestions or do's and don'ts room/bed decor for angled beds?
