real rugs in the bathroom

It seems to me like most bathrooms are styled without bath mats for photoshoots. I get that bathroom rugs aren't the most exciting thing...so how about using a regular rug, like flat weave or outdoor rug?

Would you use a rug in a bathroom?
Here's one I'm eyeing for mine.

This was a HB tip a few years ago! I think it's a great idea, but I don't think the husband would be sold on the idea. Bathroom rugs are a bit more plush, even if they aren't as pretty!

I love using real rugs in the bathroom. They look so much better than fuzzy bath mats. I don't spend a lot on them though just in case....

Just like great rugs in the kitchen; they add so much warmth and character to the space. Love it!

I love the look but am always a bit touchy about the moisture issue! Have you used them with success previously? I think a flat weave would be fine - but maybe not that gorgeous Persian style rug in the photo!

I have been using real rugs in my bathroom for about 7 years now, all with great success. I use an area rug in front of the vanity and use a plain white simple bath mat in the tub area when showering. I love the lushness that real rugs bring to the bathroom. I don't leave the bath mat out because I hate the look of them plus they are trip hazards.
